How much are dues?
Dues are based on membership type. The prices below include your initiation fee and first year of dues.
- Active: Over 25, Reside or work in the Metro-Detroit area: $115 (see below for residence criteria)
*Auto-Renew Active: same criteria as Active but with the added feature of your credit card being automatically charged on your renewal date to keep your membership active.
- Non-Resident: Reside and work outside of the Metro-Detroit area: $60 (see below for residence criteria)
- Junior: 25 and under, Reside or work in the Metro-Detroit area: $60
- Student: Must be both: Under 25 and a full-time college/university student: $60
The Metro-Detroit area includes Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston or Washtenaw Counties of Michigan; or metropolitan Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
After I submit my application how will I know if I have become a member?
Your credit card will be charged for dues and fees upon the submission of your membership application. Once payment is processed, your login info for the members-only portions of our site will be emailed to you. Our bylaws require that all applications be approved by our board of directors at their next monthly meeting. After the meeting you will receive an email from us informing you of your membership status.
After my initial submission of dues and fees, when will I receive my first dues invoice?
Our membership dues are invoiced based on calendar year from your join date. For example, if you joined in February, your next invoice would be due on Feb. 1 of the following year.
